Born in Huntsville, Alabama, John was raised in Germany in several cities and military bases along with two older brothers. Growing up in Germany and then in upstate New York, he had the opportunity to speak both languages at home and remains fluent in German. His career in voice over started when, having a favorite book that he wanted to share with his mother, he recorded and edited the first 18 chapters (9 hours!) because there was no audiobook available at the time. That was 14 years ago.. Over the last three years, John has taken his career in Voice Over more seriously, taking classes at VoiceTrax in Sausalito and booking regularly in Video Games, Narration, Advertising and now, Audiobooks! He currently lives in sunny Marin County, California and his mother has still never read the book.
